LORD’s Spring/Summer 2014 High Tea Fashion Presentation

June 2014 – With the melodic tune of the famous pianist Ooi Eow Jin filling the Tea Lounge at Majestic Hotel, guests mingled in an intimate fashion high tea event organized by Alta Moda and LORD’s in conjunction with the launch of the 1Malaysia Mega Sale Carnival 2014, which will kick off this Saturday, 28th June 2014.

Inspired by the bold colours and spirit of summer, LORD’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection featured vibrant and statement pieces that is sure to please. It is designed to invoke confidence, optimism and cheerfulness. Made up of a combination of ready-to-wear and bespoke garments that are exquisitely cut and made using the finest materials, LORD’s ensured that the guests were well and truly aware of the new youthful direction that the brand was taking.

The 26 outfits showcased a wide selection of ready-to-wear shirts available at their flagship store at Level 6, Pavilion KL. Featuring some floral pants and tops that have yet to be seen in Malaysia, LORD’s is truly stepping out of the box to bring to the fashion world the floral trend that has taken Europe by storm the last 2 years. Most people think tacky Hawaiian shirts when you mention floral but the floral print has become style trend that is hard to miss. It is a vibrant detail you can incorporate into your everyday wardrobe. It can be loud or subtle.

Also featured in the show were pops of colours that were unmistakable – bright blue, orange and red pants, paired with vibrant checks were the order of the day. Smart casual that is definitely not dull. Whilst classic pieces are definitely available in LORD’s ready-to-wear collection, the show focused on the more unique smart casual ensembles that are fun and bold to push the boundary of the local fashion scene, showing that men can wear colour and look great. Not to mention, all the shirts featured are made from premium European cotton. So, it’s style and quality at the same time.

The show, which was sponsored by Tourism Malaysia, was indeed evidence of LORD’s new direction in offering quality, stylish and affordable ready-to-wear sartorial to the fashionable Malaysian men.
