Around 230 guests attended Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad’s 87th birthday hosted by Robert and Lily Loh of Lord’s Tailor at Le Meridien Ballroom.
Dr Mahathir’s birthday suit was a sparkly, spangley RM6,000 Dormeuil suit. “This is the first time I am wearing such a shiny suit but Lord’s Tailor assures me I look younger!” he quipped.
Robert Loh of Lord’s Tailor has known the fourth prime minister of Malaysia for 25 years.
“Tun has always supported us and advised us to go international and be the Savile Row of Malaysia,” Loh said.
