I was speaking recently to Mrs Robert Loh, the owner of Lord’s Tailor Shops. She told me that about 40% of her clientele are expats. This percentage has held .rm since the mid 1970’s when the very public satisfaction of Boxing great, Muhammad Ali and his 20 man entourage hit the press. Former PM Dr Tun Mahathir, major international celebrities like Jimmy Choo and Mel Gibson followed his lead and word quickly spread throughout the expat community that here was a tailoring shop on par with the finest London has to offer.
On 11th July 2012 , Lord’s Tailor was awarded the prestigious Asia Pacific Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award (APEA). We were privileged to have Amber Chia attend as our Guest of Honour, clad in a red suit that was created specially for her.
KUALA LUMPUR, MAY 2014 Held in the new flagship store of LORD’s at Pavilion KL, it was an affair that highlighted the new direction of LORD’s. Inspired by the theme of “Magis Alam” this year, LORD’s designed a range of suits that has yet to be seen in Malaysia – ensembles accentuated with floral elements and bright blocks colours. Lord’s Tailor Celebrated its 37th Anniversary at Kuala Lumpur Hilton’s Grand Ballroom Attended by Malaysia’s longest serving Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad and his wife Tun Siti Hasmah.
